Cooperation with local community
KLS adheres to the principle of corporate social responsibility. Our responsible attitude towards the environment and local community is defined in our business policy and is a building block of every day work and conduct of our employees and company as a whole.
KLS is a good employer. Constant progress of the company is the source for the creation of new jobs and employment of new co-workers. We strive to build good relations between employees.
We know that it is necessary to provide quality education already at the primary education level, in order to enable the young from our communities to achieve excellent results in their further occupational education and other levels of higher education. To this end we cooperate and support by donating financial means to elementary and high schools and higher education institutions from our region.
Thus, already the pupils are given the opportunity to get to know different professions. High school and higher education institutions students can enrol on industrial placement and through this attain practical experience during mandatory industrial placement and summer work. We provide scholarships to high school and university students. Currently we scholarships to 19 students.
It is our strong belief that engaging in sports activities helps to develop one’s personal qualities, such as endurance, team work and competitiveness, which are indispensable for successful work. In this line we support different sport activities in our region.
Culture is highly placed in our business policy. In the region of Upper Savinja valley we support various cultural events and activities. Participation at such activities enables the development of personal culture of people who are in one way or the other connected with our company.
We show our compassion towards social and humanitarian problems, in the region where the company is situated, in the form of donations given to voluntary societies and organisations.
